Philosophy at King’s College London

KCL are planning to make two members of the Philosophy Department redundant, and more redundancies are in the pipeline as a cost-cutting measure across the Humanities. The BPA, together with a number of UK learned societies, have sent this letter to the Principal (Rick Trainor) and the Chair of Council (Lord Douro).

UPDATE 12.2.10: This letter has also been endorsed by the British Society for the Philosophy of Science, the British Society for the Philosophy of Religion, and the British Wittgenstein Society.

A website has been set up by King’s philosophy students; there you can find more information and sign their letter to the College authorities protesting at the cuts.
